Digital Realty is set to open up a new facility 12 miles outside of Boston this Wednesday.
Digital Realty, a wholesale provider of data center space, is opening a new facility to better serve clients situated in the healthcare, bio-tech, higher education, finance and managed services markets.
The 130,000 sq. ft facility, located at 128 First Ave., incorporates a design method known as open air economization, that will translate into roughly 6,000 free hours of cooling per year.

Technologist predict that every 20 years new facilities are needed to accommodate the growth of innovative technologies.
Digital’s latest incorporates 5 purpose built facilities designed to support the expected data boom of the next two decades. Together, the five purpose built facilities offer a total of 450,000 sq. ft, with 200,000 sq. ft dedicated to raised floor cooling.
