This Week in Getting Hacked: Squirrel PSA Edition
October 28, 2015What Is a Work Spouse and Do You Have One?
November 2, 2015Welcome to the Friday Fun Blog: HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR EDITION!
Every year, we like to collect the scariest videos, pictures, websites and stories from around the web to help get you in the Halloween spirit. This year is no different, except for the amount of goosebumps we’ve gotten by watching/reading/looking at this stuff. As always, we’re brought to you by (the ghosts of) Dave & Buster’s!
You might need a change of underwear after this…
On to the links!
-The woods are a vast, scary place. Especially the coniferous forests of North America, which—a lot of people don’t realize this—are GIGANTIC. Like, there’s a lot of forest out there. Could it be enough to harbor a giant ape-like creature named Sasquatch? Maybe this video filled with the best evidence of Bigfoot’s existence might change your mind.
-Still not convinced? How about a guy capturing some sweet Bigfoot-age with a GoPro attached to his dog? Remember, when you’re in the woods, you’re in HIS territory.
-Caves are really creepy. They’re small, enclosed spaces that are really dark, so dark you can’t see your hand infront of your face at times. And really, you never know exactly what is…lurking…down there. Check out Ted the Caver’s story—it’s an Internet classic, and will definitely get your heart pumping.
-Speaking of caves, Paris has a complex system of underground tunnels known as the Catacombs beneath its city streets. Hundreds of years old, the catacombs were used at tombs for the deceased, and are lined with the bones of the dead. This video—which hasn’t been debunked yet—shows a man’s final moments as he is lost inside the Catacombs. He’s running…from something. The footage was recovered, the man wasn’t.
-Reddit’s /r/NoSleep is a fantastic subreddit filled with user-submitted short stories, usually horror or paranormal based. By rules of the subreddit, all of the stories are to be read as though they are true and these events actually happened. The ‘Footsteps’ series is one of the most popular stories on the sub, garnering enough attention to be turned into a book, and—from what I’ve heard—the rights bought for a feature film. Enjoy not sleeping tonight.
-“Hearing voices” is a common thing you hear, but for those of us who aren’t totally insane, we might never get to experience those auditory hallucinations. Well, fear no more—or do fear, I guess—as this wonderful clip allows you to understand what it’s like to hear voices. Just don’t answer back.
-A lot of those ghost hunting shows are total BS, with things played up for entertainment value. But occasionally, there are some rather unexplainable occurrences; for instance, the Ghost Hunter’s crew visited the super duper totally 100% haunted (and I wish I was kidding about that) Eastern State Penitentiary and captured this strange presence.
-Keeping on the ghost theme, here’s a terrifying but ultimately awesome video about a skeptic setting up cameras in his supposedly haunted office and getting some pretty crazy results. If this teaches us anything, it’s that you should never EVER put your non-descript office park on top of a Native America burial site.
-On the less terrifying side of things, here’s a video of a ghost haunting a video store. I bet this ghost haunts this video store because of the outrageous late fees he received when he was alive.
-A lot of people are really skeptic about ghost stories and paranormal stuff, and rightfully so. Why would you believe any ol’ schmuck off the street? But when police officers detail their experiences with the paranormal, things get REALLY creepy.
-And finally, here’s a bunch of creepy pictures of ghost people who aren’t supposed to be in pictures (along with my genuine reactions to each photo). 1) Aww, look at the do—IS THAT A FACE IN THE WINDOW?! 2) WHO IS THAT GIRL AND WHY IS SHE STILL INSIDE THE LOCKED SCHOOL AT NIGHT?! 3) Haha look at Mom goofing off—BEHIND YOU!
See you next week! Sorry about whatever you did to your underwear!
