Friday Fun Blog: ‘Murica’s Hangover Edition
July 10, 2015Top 6 Benefits of Modular Data Centers
July 23, 2015It’s time, once again, for everyone’s favorite day-before-the-weekend link dump—the Friday Fun Blog!
This week’s blog is sponsored by Dave & Buster’s (Editor’s Note: Nope), because where else can you get a great burger and play Skee-Ball, huh, Chris?! WHERE ELSE?! Nowhere, that’s where.
On to the links!
-Some robot is doing their best angsty teenager move and attempting to hitchhike across the country. He even has a list of places and things he’d like to do/visit, like go to Times Square, see the Grand Canyon, and “Be the fifth portrait on Mount Rushmore”. Well Hitchhiking Robot, I got some news for you…-With all the hype about the future of self-driving cars, it seems like people are really pumped for them, but juuuuust aren’t ready to get in one of their own. I get it, because until EVERYONE has a self-driving car, the biggest threat on the road is the dum-dum still controlling his car like some future peasant. The quicker we get to self-driving cars and naps on the way to work the better.
-Who watches the watchmen who watch the watchmen who watch the watchmen? Google, apparently.
–Obligatory Space Post(s) of the Week:
- Here’s the live (probably will not be live by the time you read this) feed of NASA revealing new photos from the New Horizons Pluto fly-by.
- It took nearly 10 years for New Horizons to reach Pluto, but now that we’re there, in just a short amount of time we’ve learned more about the dwarf planet than we ever have before. He’s a fun little timeline of how we’ve seen Pluto from its discovery till now.
- Speaking of learning about the dwarf planet, here’s a list of things we’ve found out about Pluto since New Horizons came within range nearly a week ago.
Enjoy your weekend!
