October 26, 2015IT’S YA BOI COLY and it’s time once again for everyone’s favorite Friday morning/afternoon time waster—the Friday Fun Blog! This week’s fun blog is brought to you, as always, by Dave & Buster’s. Dave & Buster’s—won’t someone take me already? (Editor’s Note: No.)
On to the links!
-Everyone likes pizza, right? Of course you do, you’re a human on earth. Well, Domino’s is trying to make your pizza delivery experience that much better by outfitting a stripped down Chevy Spark with a warming oven that can hold up to 80 pizzas, and a bunch of other stuff. It’s basically a Domino’s on wheels. They called it the DPX, which sounds more porn-y than it does delicious. Domino’s is expecting to roll these bad boys out nationwide soon, depending on whether or not franchisers want to buy them for a cool $25,000.
-When I write the Fun Blog, there are certain headlines that grab your attention and you go, “This needs to be on the Fun Blog.” This is one of those headlines, and it needs no other exposition: “Idaho used to relocate beavers by throwing them out of planes”.
-History is all around us, not just relegated to museums. Take, for instance, a hiker in Norway who stumbled upon an intact Viking sword dating back to around 750 to 800 A.D.. It’s a two foot long blade that was hidden under rocks and preserved by the cold conditions. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m almost sure this is the start to some weird Viking lore that will result in Thor and Odin coming to instill Valhalla on Earth. I openly welcome our future Viking Gods with open arms. Praise Odin!
-Not sure if you believe in global warming? Well, here’s some photographs of glaciers that have melted over the years. Because, you know, miles wide and thick chunks of ice that have been there for millennia totally just melt on their own drastically over a 100 year period.
-The age old question of “Why do cats purr?” Well, apparently, it’s a lot of things, but mainly an expression of emotion; whether that is happiness, sadness, stress, etc. Cats use purring as a way to express themselves, much like how we would with laughing or crying. Also, cats use purring to spur BONE REGENERATION. Yep, your cat is healing itself when it purrs. YOUR CAT IS A SUPERHERO.
And finally…
-ALERT THE AUTHORITIES! LEGO MIGHT HAVE A BLOCK SHORTAGE THIS CHRISTMAS! IT’S PANIC IN THE STREETS! RUN FOR COVER! NOBODY IS SAFE!
See you next week!
